At Peacock Pavilions, a husband-and-wife team have created a stylish, family-friendly haven at their home on the outskirts of Marrakech.
Peacock Pavilions in Marrakech is on many a wishlist of places to stay. Owner, Maryam, who is originally from the US, is a freelance photographer, travel and lifestyle writer, often reporting on food, shopping, spas, and other fun experiences in Marrakech.
What she and her architect husband have created is a charming, luxury getaway where every room has been designed with the attention to detail and the care that comes with treasures selected with inspiration and arranged with love.
Everything you see in Peacock Pavilions has a story to tell; the table that was once the bottom of an Indian cart, masks from West Africa, Moroccan lights designed by Maryam and hand-stenciled floors and ceilings made by artists the world over.
The style of the two pavilions – which can be rented in their entirety, or room by room – is described as ‘modern ethnic glamour’, with global influences in everything from the cushions to the cooking.
